  34. better than yours". Debates of this nature are not permitted - take it
  35. to Netmail.

  37. 3. This conference is only permitted to be distributed by IGA_Net<tm>
  38. nodelisted systems. It is not permitted to be distributed via any
  39. other Network without the express permission of the Moderator, and,
  40. with the express permission of the IGA_Net<tm> Administrator.

  44. 5. Moderation will generally take place via Netmail. The lack of
  45. obvious moderation does not indicate its absence.

  50. 7. The use of taglines is strongly dissuaded. In the event the
  51. originator of a message finds he/she has an urgent need to utilize a
  52. tagline, the tagline will only be a short line detailing research
  53. surnames:

  55.             Researching: JONES, GREEN, and CALLAWAY

  57. Cutesy taglines add nothing to the value of genealogical research
  58. being conducted by the message originator.... in fact, they detract
  59. greatly from the serious purpose of the message content.

  61. Also, taglines add to the length of messages and therefore add to the
  62. cost of transferring traffic via continental and intercontinental
  63. telephone. Again, you are requested to empathize with those who are
  64. paying the long-distance charges and leave taglines off your messages.

  66. 8. Considering that characters with the high-ASCII bit set (above 7F
  67. hexadecimal (127 decimal)) and characters of value less than 20
  68. hexadecimal (32 decimal) cause numerous problems with software now in
  69. use, such characters are not allowed in messages in this echo.
